Appu receives a warm welcome at Lalan’s home, where the family is celebrating her arrival. Shortly after, Kajal expresses a desire to leave, but she is gently asked to stay for a few more hours. Appu, feeling exhausted, struggles to complete the traditional rituals associated with her homecoming. As part of the custom, Lalan’s sister demands money to let him enter the house. When Lalan refuses, his mother explains that it’s a traditional practice in Indian weddings. Anuradha, wanting to make Kajal feel comfortable, requests that she stay longer to avoid feeling lonely. She even asks some boys to organize a musical program to keep everyone entertained through the night. The bride’s family remains awake for the nuptial night.
Appu is also warmly received by Lalan’s neighbors, who notice nothing unusual about her demeanor. Lalan praises his wife, highlighting her many qualities, though Kajal grows increasingly uncomfortable. She harbors feelings for Lalan, but he seems oblivious to her emotions. Frustrated, Kajal becomes eager to leave the house as soon as possible. Although Lalan doesn’t understand her discomfort, Anuradha notices Kajal’s irritation. Lalan himself grows annoyed when Kajal insists on leaving without eating. Despite multiple requests from the family, Kajal remains adamant. Only when Appu insists does Kajal reluctantly stay.
In the afternoon, Jhanak visits Lalan’s home before returning to Mumbai. She urges them to investigate the history of Lalan’s father, warning that they need to uncover the truth or risk further problems from their adversaries. While Lalan and Anuradha don’t fully grasp the significance of her words, Jhanak is adamant that they confront the criminal involved. Later, Mrinalini and Aniruddha also arrive at Lalan’s house, and Appu is overjoyed to see her family members again. Both Anuradha and Appu plead with Jhanak to stay the night instead of returning to Mumbai.
Lalan’s friends, Meghla and Adrija, also join the wedding celebrations. They become nostalgic as they reminisce about their childhood together. Anuradha takes the time to introduce Appu’s family to Meghla and Adrija. They recognize Jhanak as a famous star who recently participated in a popular dance program.
