Arto was struggling with the decision to get a divorce, but his brain kept failing him. Chini showed up and asked him why he was so tense, and Arto admitted that he was worried about breaking the relationship. Chini pretended to be surprised and told Arto not to break up with his wife yet, but Arto was still worried. He imagined the real situation and it made him sad, so Chini smirked behind his back.
Arto continues to think about the words of Chini and how it will be hard to adjust to the separation. He decides to hasten up the process and walks towards the door of Imlie. When he is about to bang on the door, Imlie opens it. They both stare at each other and he is welcomed in. They both brood over each other’s situation and Arto is lied to about what is in the papers. Arto and Imlie both pray for each other and Arto leaves.
Chini was very excited to receive the divorce paperwork from Arto, but she was careful not to show it. When Arto stopped talking to her, she took the papers and sent them to Imlie’s room. Imlie was surprised to receive the paperwork and read it. She was very upset that Arto had sent it himself. Chini continued to make fun of Imlie, cooking up a plan to get out of the situation.
Imlie is upset about the situation with Arto. She breaks down and talks about how Arto is being indecisive and mysterious. She decides to confront him about it, but when she sees him walking towards Chini’s room, she decides it’s time to leave. Arto interrogates Chini about the divorce paper, but she accepts his accusation. Imlie tells Arto that she’s been hurt a lot and doesn’t deserve to be treated this way, and Arto leaves the room with his silence.
Imlie continues to believe that she and Arto are hashing out their feelings over their situation. Arto is actually willing to open up and discuss their true feelings with her, but she imagines that they will confess their love for each other and everything will be okay. However, she eventually realizes that these are just her fantasies and Arto has made a different decision. Chini is happy as she successfully cooks the goose Arto has brought home. Arto finally confides in his family about his decision. Evils get happy.
