Kalikant learns that a girl was selling a foreign bird by the roadside. Jagriti admits to selling the bird but explains that she has now set it free after a kind woman made her realize that keeping a bird in a cage is wrong. She promises Kalikant that she won’t sell any birds again. Curious, Kalikant asks for her name, and she replies, “Jagriti.” He then inquires about her father’s name, to which she reveals that Harish is alive but injured. She shares that Durjan has placed a condition on her: she must earn Rs 100 for Harish to receive treatment. Furious at the news of Harish’s survival, Kalikant storms off, leaving the constable to tell Jagriti to leave, which she agrees to do.
Noticing her son’s anger, Kalikant’s mother approaches him. She asks what’s wrong, and Kalikant expresses regret for sparing Harish in the past, claiming it’s now causing him trouble. He reveals that Solanki informed him Geeta has returned to Mokshgarh with her husband, and he must ensure Geeta doesn’t learn about the past. He also mentions Jagriti’s roadside bird-selling. His mother advises him to handle the situation calmly and to think things through, warning that violence could incite rebellion from the Chitta people. Kalikant retorts that if they dare to rebel, he’ll destroy them. His mother reminds him that he needs the Chitta people for his business and suggests he weigh the risks of helping Solanki. Kalikant begins to reconsider.
Jagriti sees the foreign bird again and encourages it to leave; it flies away.
Meanwhile, Sapna catches the bird in a cage and tells Geeta she wants a larger cage for it. Geeta responds that the bird won’t be happy confined. Sapna argues that it will be happy and challenges Geeta, asking if she cares more about her or the bird’s happiness. Amol interjects, supporting Sapna’s desire for happiness. He promises to buy a bigger cage and reassures her, to which Sapna expresses her gratitude.
Geeta then questions Amol’s morals regarding caging the bird. Amol replies that Sapna is a child who should enjoy her life, urging Geeta to unpack quickly, as he dislikes the clutter of boxes in the house.
In another scene, Mangala urges Bindi to convince Jagriti to obey Durjan’s orders for Harish’s treatment. Bindi questions why Mangala always blames Jagriti. Mangala insists there’s no one else to hold accountable since Durjan is using Harish as a pawn to manipulate Jagriti. Nanda critiques Mangala’s perspective. Durjan remarks that it’s natural for Mangala to be emotional given her son’s condition, but decisions for the community must take precedence. Just then, one of Kalikant’s men arrives, informing Durjan that Kalikant has been angry ever since Jagriti came to his house, prompting Durjan to leave immediately.
Feeling defeated for not being able to earn the Rs 100, Jagriti prays to God and contemplates hunting to save her father. Meanwhile, Akash frees a rabbit in the forest. When Jagriti aims at the rabbit, she can’t bring herself to shoot and instead fires into the air. Akash witnesses this and accuses her of being a liar, claiming she pretended to save the rabbit and free the bird while actually being a hunter.
