Krishna leads the people of Gokul to Govardhan Hill for a puja. Indra Dev threatens Krishna, declaring that he will demonstrate his power. He warns that if the residents of Gokul fail to worship him, they will not be able to worship anyone else today. Indra has shown them generosity until now, but today they will face his wrath. He believes that those who don’t venerate him will find their devotion unfulfilled. Krishna, however, has ignited a lamp of faith in them, and Indra questions what will happen if that light is extinguished today. Indra then shoots an arrow into the sky, unleashing heavy winds and thunderstorms. The residents of Gokul are taken aback by the sudden change in weather. One of them remarks that they had been warned about the consequences of their actions.
Indra is furious with them, and Krishna questions the kind of god Indra is, upset over the worship of another. He notes that Govardhan Hill hasn’t complained during their worship of Indra and has always protected them. The deities are compassionate, and Krishna insists they must continue their worship of Govardhan Hill, as it will safeguard them. Indra, frustrated, vows that this will not happen; he will not permit them to worship anyone else.
Determined, Indra aims his arrow once more, causing Gokul to flood. One resident blames Krishna for provoking Indra and stopping their worship, claiming it’s Krishna who has brought this wrath upon them. People panic and flee for their lives. Gopika expresses regret for listening to Krishna, insisting they must save their homes and families, and she leaves.
Meanwhile, Kamsan learns about the flooding and views it as an opportunity to fulfill his plans. He believes he can eliminate both Indra and Krishna in the flood. He instructs his soldiers to send the best swimmers to Gokul to retrieve Krishna’s corpse. Kamsan relishes the thought of seeing Krishna defeated.
As Gokul residents struggle with the severe weather, they begin to blame Krishna for their plight and demand he take responsibility. Indra watches with amusement as they curse Krishna. Gopika defends Krishna, reminding everyone of his divine miracles, including his defeat of Putna and other demons. She pleads with Krishna to save them from this disaster. Krishna walks away, followed by Radha and Balram. Yashodha, worried, tells the others that Krishna is unaware of Indra’s impending wrath. She urges them to stop cursing him and to search for him instead. Nandan reassures them that Krishna will protect them; they just need to have faith.
Meanwhile, Krishna confronts Indra, asking him to cease this assault on the innocent people of Gokul. Indra retorts that because they have not worshiped him, he will ensure every single house and resident drowns. In response, Krishna declares that he will teach Indra a lesson. He lifts Govardhan Hill with his hand, causing the residents of Gokul to witness this miraculous act. Radha informs the others, and they are astonished, praising Krishna for his strength. Krishna instructs them to take shelter beneath the hill, assuring them it will protect them from the flood.
