Mahishaasur threatens to kill the devotees of Lord Shiv, claiming that Devraj Indra and Ganesh will be held responsible for their deaths. Devraj Indra urges the devotees to choose devotion over fear and begins narrating the story of Lord Shiv. Despite Mahishaasur’s attempts to attack the devotees, he is thwarted by the protective power of bel leaves. Devraj Indra chants “Har Har Mahadev,” leaving Mahishaasur astonished and questioning how mere bel leaves can counter his assault.
As Devraj Indra continues to recount the story of Lord Shiv and Sati’s first meeting (with the song “Shiva Shambhu” playing in the background), Mahishaasur’s attacks fail once more. Flashing back to the past, Lord Shiv is depicted performing the Tandav after Sati’s death, with Lord Narayan calming him and Lord Shiv establishing the Shakti Peeths.
In the present, Lord Narayan highlights the significance of the Shiv Katha, explaining that it was passed from Ganesh to Devraj Indra and then to the Shiv devotees. He asks Ganesh to share more about the Shiv Katha. Ganesh, receiving a nod of approval from Lord Shiv, explains that Lord Shiv’s omnipresence needs to be acknowledged. He assures that this revelation will protect Devraj Indra and recalls telling Devraj Indra that Mahishaasur could not defeat the devotion to Lord Shiv.
Devraj Indra tells the Shiv devotees that he will now recount Lord Shiv’s love story. As the devotees chant “Har Har Mahadev” and move away, Mahishaasur tries to stop Devraj Indra but fails. He then calls Shukracharya, expressing his frustration at being deceived and vowing revenge on Ganesh.
Lord Narayan remarks on the magic of the Shiv Katha, as Devraj Indra arrives and announces that anyone who narrates the Shiv Katha will receive Lord Shiv’s blessings. He thanks Ganesh for saving him from Mahishaasur and declares that although he is the king of the Devtas, Ganesh should be worshipped before him. Lord Narayan confirms that Ganesh’s puja will precede the Tridev’s puja (accompanied by the song “Ganpati Morya”).
Devraj Indra decides to have Ganesh’s puja take place the following day. Narad is tasked with informing everyone about Ganesh’s puja. Brahmadev announces that the day will be celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh is deeply honored by the respect he is receiving, and Lord Shiv assures him that he truly deserves it.
Kartikeya volunteers to prepare for Ganesh Chaturthi, and Lord Shiv advises him that accepting victory is easy, but accepting defeat is challenging. They share an emotional hug, with Kartikeya becoming emotional and Devi Parvati smiling at the touching moment.
Narad informs the devotees about Ganesh Chaturthi, detailing how to celebrate the festival. Lord Shiv tells Ganesh that the following day will be significant for him.
