Mahishaasur declares his intent to seize Adi Shakti’s power and rid the universe of her presence. As he prepares to attack, Lord Shiva intervenes (with the Om Kara Sadashiv Neelkanth Maheshwara chant playing in the background). Mahishaasur demands to know why Lord Shiva is getting involved. Shiva firmly states that Adi Shakti is his wife and commands her to leave. Mahishaasur challenges Adi Shakti to stay and face him, but Lord Shiva repeats his plea for her to depart.
However, Adi Shakti refuses to leave, expressing that the universe would accuse her of fleeing from battle. She stands her ground, and Lord Shiva, concerned for her safety, calls their children—Ashok Sundari, Ganesh, and Kartikeya—who beg their mother to come with them. Mahishaasur threatens that Adi Shakti won’t leave alive, but Lord Shiva once again shields her from his attack. Reluctantly, their children take Adi Shakti away from the battlefield.
Shiva then confronts Mahishaasur, acknowledging that he cannot kill him because of the boon he was granted, but vowing not to let him harm Adi Shakti. Mahishaasur mocks Lord Shiva, claiming that he was afraid of Adi Shakti for no reason, as he defeated her easily. He laughs arrogantly, but Lord Shiva warns him not to be overconfident, predicting that Mahishaasur will soon become ashes in the cremation ground. Shiva then begins his meditation.
Adi Shakti, concerned about Lord Shiva’s silence, turns to Lord Narayan, wondering why Shiva hasn’t revealed the method to kill Mahishaasur. Kartikeya reassures her that Lord Shiva, though still in Mahishaasur’s grasp, will assist them. Ganesh expresses faith that his father will guide them. Lord Narayan suggests they perform the Rudraabhishek puja the following day to seek Shiva’s help. Ganesh vows to dance in devotion to win Lord Shiva’s favor, and Kartikeya adds that the entire universe will call upon Shiva for aid.
The next day, the Rudraabhishek puja begins. Mahishaasur, confused, asks Shukracharya what is happening. Shukracharya explains that the universe is performing the ritual to gain Lord Shiva’s assistance in discovering how to defeat him. Meanwhile, Adi Shakti and her companions continue with the sacred rites.
As the ritual proceeds, Lord Shiva creates a doll of a little girl from ashes. Shukracharya, puzzled, tells Mahishaasur that Lord Shiva never acts without a purpose. Both wonder about the significance of the doll.
Lord Narayan, understanding Shiva’s message, explains that the doll represents Rishi Katyayan’s ashram, where the rishi, childless, treats the doll as his daughter. At that moment, Rishi Katyayan and his wife are seen offering food to the doll.
Lord Narayan then instructs Adi Shakti to enter the doll and become Katyayani, a new form in which she will slay Mahishaasur. Brahmadev declares that Mahishaasur’s time is near.
Meanwhile, Mahishaasur begins tormenting devotees, and Narad informs Adi Shakti that the demon has crossed all limits. Adi Shakti, determined, declares that she will always fight for the dignity of women and the well-being of the universe. She anticipates the fierce and devastating battle that lies ahead between her and Mahishaasur.
